Glass frit and colored glass powder are melted together and can be adorned with silver foil and/or pieces of handmade murrini to form a glass “brick”. The brick is then cut apart and pieced back together to a tack fuse giving them their unique texture. They are then cut into their final shape and put back in the kiln for a fire polish to ensure the edges are shiny. Several layers and multiple complex firings provide the elegant beauty of the Tapestry Collection.
